Storm Damage

When Hurricane Harvey stormed through Texas, SERVPROs all across the country responded to help the devastation. SERVPRO of Houston County was no different. We had a crew of technicians that loaded into our vehicles and went to Texas. These pictures were taken at a business that had a poster hanging on this wall. Because people were not able to return to their homes or businesses for a period of time, the moisture was able to stay behind the poster. The wall was saturated and the poster allowed the moisture to stay trapped. Microbial growth easily began to occur. We removed the poster which revealed the growth. We removed the wall that had been damaged and placed equipment to reduce the humidity level. In addition, we cleaned the are to kill the microbial growth.
